About Apex Psychological Services

Who we are

Apex Psychological Services is an independent London-based practice specializing in psychosexual and relationship therapy. We provide confidential, evidence-based support to individuals and couples navigating the full range of intimate concerns — from specific sexual difficulties to the wider relational and emotional contexts in which they arise.

Every therapist who sees clients through Apex is a registered member of COSRT — the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists, the UK's professional body for psychosexual practice — and many hold additional BACP or UKCP memberships. We work within a strict professional code of ethics, and all sessions are conducted in strict confidence, whether in person at our London rooms or online across the UK.

Our philosophy : Intimate difficulties are extremely common, rarely anyone's "fault", and almost always more treatable than people expect. Our job is to meet you where you are, without judgment, and work collaboratively towards meaningful change at your own pace.

Director - Apex Psychological Services

COSRT-registered Psychosexual Therapist Couples & Individuals

Andrew is the Director of Apex Psychological Services and leads the clinical approach of the practice. He has built Apex around a core belief that specialist psychosexual therapy should be accessible, compassionate, and evidence-based — delivered in a warm, non-judgmental environment where clients feel safe exploring difficult or sensitive topics.

Andrew works with individuals and couples across the full range of psychosexual presentations, including desire and arousal concerns, ejaculation and erection difficulties, painful sex, loss of intimacy, trauma, and compulsive sexual behaviour. He draws on an integrative approach combining psychosexual techniques with cognitive-behavioural and systemic ideas, tailoring the work to each client's goals and pace.

Alongside client work, Andrew leads Apex's standards on clinical governance, supervision, and continuing professional development — ensuring every therapist at Apex practises to COSRT's exacting standards.

How we work

Collaborative assessment

Your first session is a confidential conversation about what's brought you here, your history, and your goals. Together you and your therapist agree a clear, personalised plan.

Evidence-based methods

We integrate established psychosexual techniques (sensate focus, stop-start, graded exposure) with CBT, psychodynamic, and systemic approaches — chosen to fit you, not the other way around.

Paced to you

Therapy progresses at a speed that feels manageable. Many clients work weekly or fortnightly; treatment length varies with presentation and goals. Progress is reviewed together at intervals.

In person & online

You can attend our central London rooms or meet your therapist via secure video — both modes are clinically effective. Many couples use a mix depending on schedules.

Accreditation & ethics

Apex Psychological Services operates under the professional standards of COSRT, the UK's leading body for psychosexual and relationship therapy with over 40 years of accrediting specialist practice. COSRT registration requires postgraduate-level clinical training, supervised practice, ongoing CPD, and adherence to a strict ethical code.

Your confidentiality : everything you discuss is kept in strict confidence. Records are held in line with GDPR and COSRT ethical requirements. The limited exceptions — risk of serious harm or legal obligation — will always be explained at the outset.

Take the first step — today

Most clients describe the first session as a relief. A confidential conversation, no pressure, no commitment beyond that hour.
